Bocas del Toro
Noni Surf Panama

Highlights of Panama’s Caribbean coast is the group of islands near the border with Costa Rica, Bocas del Toro. This archipelago is one of the fastest developing visitor sites in Central America and home to six large islands and dozens of little ones. A lot of Noni (Morinda Citrifolia) organic fruits the Miracle Fruit and bambú.

The main island is Isla Colón, has most of the restaurants and hotels and is a great launching place to explore the smaller islands and to participate in the many water sports offered in the area like snorkeling, diving, and kayaking. There is also an airport on Isla Colón which is the best way to reach the islands from Panama City. There is no public transportation to the beaches outside the main town of Bocas del Toro on Isla Colón, so rent bikes or take a cab. The culture is Caribbean, most residents are african descendants from the colonial time. The islands offer the visitor a number of attractions: luxurious rain forests with an abundance of fauna and flora, sunny islands, beaches that compete with the Caribbean best, coral reefs in crystal clear water, mangrove islets in a lake-like scenery, guaymi indian villages and a national marine park that protects examples of the ecosystems and natural resources coexisting within the Archipelago to stay for a couple of days. Good place to go for diving and relaxing.boundaries, as a tribute to our future generations. The caribbean architecture, the local cuisine, the people and their festivities, have made these islands a nice place.
